Our lesson program is currently full. Please complete the Google form below to tell us more about yours or your child's age, experience, and goals so that we can find an appropriate spot should one become available:

Lone Star Stables offers group, limited group, semi-private and private lessons in Hunter-Jumper style English riding. Children and adults of all ages are welcome to join our lesson program. We offer all levels of English riding instruction, from the beginner learning the basics to the more advanced rider looking to refine their skills. 

Horses and ponies are also available for lease or half-lease on a monthly basis. To arrange lessons or get prices for boarding/leasing, please contact:

Lesson Packages
 
Lessons packages are available by the month only, with a 2 month minimum commitment to start. Lesson packages are billed at the first of the month. A 5% late fee will be applied if payment is not received by the 15th of each month. Deposits can be ridden off with a 30 day notice. Notice must be received no later than the first day of the month the deposit will be ridden off.

Package Prices: 
One 60 Min. Group (4-6 riders) lesson/week:  $450/month, plus $450 deposit
One 60 Min. Limited Group (3 riders) lessons/week:  $500/ month, plus $500 deposit
One 45 Min. Semi-Private (2 riders) lessons/week:  $550/month, plus $550 deposit
One 60 Min. Private (1 rider) Lesson/week:  $650/month, plus $650 deposit *
One 30 Min. Private (1 rider) Lesson/week:  $600/month, plus $600 deposit *

Private Lesson Policies:  

*30 minute private lessons are offered in our lesson program for $150 per lesson. These lessons are for the more advanced riders who can tack and untack independently.  Riders should be tacked up and ready at the start of their lesson.  

*60 minute private lessons are offered for $160 for beginner riders, and will include ~30 minutes of tack up and horse care instruction with ~30 minutes of riding time.  

*Semi-private lessons are 45 minutes

Make-Up Lesson Policies

•Absence from a lesson requires a 48 hour advance notice, or the make-up will be forfeited.  Riders (or parents of riders) must give notice via email: lonestarstablesatx@gmail.com to request a make-up lesson.  When at least 48 hour notice is given, the rider will be offered a make-up lesson in our horsemanship lesson on the last Saturday of the month. Date and time will be emailed to confirm attendance.

•Make-ups lessons are to be taken within the month the lesson was missed, no refunds or credits. Only one make-up lesson is allowed per month. Make-ups are not available when the barn is closed for major holidays.  No make ups will be offered for missed barn lessons.

Inclement Weather Policy

• Lone Star follows Austin Independent School District (AISD) when it comes to cancellations due to weather. If AISD deems the weather poor enough to cancel school, the barn will be closed and lessons will be cancelled. 
• If the weather allows for school and safe road conditions, but the instructor determines that it is too cold or otherwise dangerous (ex. lightening) to be able to conduct lessons as usual, barn lessons will be given in place of riding lessons. Barn lessons provide opportunities for students to learn about aspects of horse care that often are not covered in a typical riding lesson.
